Don 1: The Secret of Love
For the Valentine’s Day edition of “Doc 1”, Lisa Gadenstätter goes in search of the secrets of love. In a place that knows thousands of such secrets and knows how to keep them: in Vienna’s oldest hourly hotel, the “Orient”. In his rooms, none of which are like the other, she arranges to meet guests who can contribute their very own stories to this topic. Beate and Ulrich Heinen, for example, who were once known as Sister Felicitas and Brother Ulrich. Today they are happily married to each other. Or the Swiss Ramon Vegas from “Callboyz.net”: When the luxury gigolo is booked by his customers, true feelings of love should be taboo. But is that even possible? Tennis professional Nico Langmann, who has been in a wheelchair since childhood, talks about how love and sex can be shaped with a disability. And the Viennese Elena Maria Del Carlo describes her many odysseys in matters of love – but also the great insight that will hopefully help her to a happy love life. Medical-scientific insertions come in between from the doctor and cabaret artist Ronny Tekal. And Lisa Gadenstätter also pays a visit to the successful actress Emily Cox. Because she, too, is willing to share a secret: namely, how she manages to credibly portray such a personal feeling as love in front of a camera.
